Limited Late Model 100 Lap Specifications
- All class specifications for the Limited Late Models as outlined in our rules package apply unless expressly mentioned below.
- No extra holes can be placed in the body. A section of the hood or a section of the roof no larger than 2" x 2" can be removable or hinged but must remain attached during the race either by velcro or body posts in its factory position. If the detachable body section falls off during the race, the car must have the piece reinstalled to continue the race..
- No modified gas tanks (Max fuel tank size is 75cc).
- The car must be refueled from the gas tank lid. No extra tubing or piping can be attached to refuel the Late Model.
- Fuel line from the tank to the carb can be no longer than 12 inches and must remain secured under the body.
- Cars will be teched before the race day begins then after the 100 lap A-Main. The same car and body must be used for the qualifiers and mains. If your Late Model does not make pre-race tech, you will not be allowed to race the event until your car passes inspection.
- Failure to meet class specs will result in disqualification and the forfeit of both purse, position, and points. Other penalties may be enacted as stated in the limited class rules.
Rules and Procedures
- Each car will have one designated pit crew member.
- Late Models must come down pit lane for refueling by entering the entrance in turn four and exiting the pits at the beginning of turn one.
- All refueling pit stops will occur outside the pit lane wall in a designated area. Cars can NOT be refueled on pit lane.
- Cars must continue along pit lane at a safe speed and safely enter the track when it is clear to do so without interfering with traffic already on the track.
- If a car runs out of fuel, the designated pit crew member must get the car from the marshal without interfering with the race.
- There is not a designated number of pit stops. Take as many or as few as you wish. Pit stops will be under racing conditions.
- The race announcer will announce the lap number at least every 10 laps along with driver positions and obstacles/wrecks on the track.
- A track official will monitor pit road refueling. Any pit stop violation will warrant a 15 second penalty where the driver will need to return to pit lane. Once the Late Model is in pit lane, the pit crew member must pick up and hold the car before the 15 seconds can be counted. Failure to comply or arguing with the tech or track official will result in disqualification and the forfeit of both purse, position, and points.
- A table will be provided directly behind the pit stop area for refueling and/or bump box restarts.
- The pit crew member and driver are encouraged to communicate with each other. All communication must occur from the refueling area or directly behind the drivers' stand. Pit crew members cannot step onto pit lane or the track, or on the drivers' stand to communicate with their driver. No megaphone, headset, or any other electronic device will be allowed to communicate with the driver or crew.
- Most importantly, have a good time, enjoy the competition, the game planing, and respect your fellow racer.
