May 10th will be the date to complete the dash.

Completion of the 2008 Championship Dash will be Saturday, May 10.

Here's the scoop for next weekend...
We will start practice around 12:00 on May 10. We will pick up with the first round of Mains starting with Race 10 (Limited Sprints) between 1:30 and 2:00. We will finish the last two rounds of mains hopefully around 6:30. If a driver cannot make the event next week, we will allow another driver to race in his/her place. The registered driver must contact us and give us the name of their replacement. This is an unusual approach. Some may think this is unfair, but consider the amount of money that some of you already spent and not to get more out of the money other than a qualifier is not fair. If you cannot attend next week's Dash and do not have a substitute, we want to give those drivers a free race coupon good for any regular race this season (not for Cash races, PA Tour Race, or Race Against Leukemia).

To close the deal...
After the Mains on Saturday, we are planning to run a regular (non-points) race for any anyone who wants to stick around or any new entries that were not in the Dash. Whether we run one or two qualifiers will depend on time. Obviously the registration fee will be adjusted if we don't run a full regular program. During the sign up period after the Dash, any driver that did not race the dash will practice.

We decided to start the season with one of our premier racing events at Staub Brothers' RC Speedway! This is one event you don't want to miss. The event consist of one qualifer and three 4-minute mains for each class. Each driver's worst main is dropped. Laps are secretly tabulated so positions are not known until the awards presentation. Driver with the most laps combined wins. New this year will be a cash payout to the top half of the field and TQ (Updated 4/28/08). Collector plates for all participants.
