Race Against Leukemia 2009 Results

Seventy-eight racers with 104 entries made our Race Against Leukemia another smashing success. Participating drivers raised the highest total ever!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America Harrisburg Chapter ceremoniously accepted $5,262 from last evening's event. This brings are total to close to $27,000 raised since this event began back in the 90's. Prizes were awarded to John Smith of Thomasville, PA for raising the most money and Tim Hunter of Lewistown, PA who solicited the most sponsors.

It is a credit to the hard work and unselfishness of the RC drivers that race at our track. The event was a totally fun time with a number of spectators lining the track and about a half dozen new drivers racing at our speedway for the first time. It was also nice to see the electric Limited Mod Sprints in action at the track for only the third time. They put on a great show and hopefully they can become a weekly class at our track.
